Anybody fancy doing this?

With the new job i know have some time to be able to sort something out.

The weekend i have in mind is 17-18th October giving plenty of people time (me!) to get sorted.

I cant make any of the regular events due to work.

The plan is a RR session saturday, mag featured type thing, followed by RWYB sunday to compare readings to times once and for all.

The place i had in mind for the RR was northampton motorsport and the RWYB, avon park with camping and a bbq somewhere between the two, or nearer avon park.

I guess max numbers for the RR is 20 and i'm sure a mag would love to feature some of the cars on here. Payment for the RR would be up front but this isnt usually much, then RWYB is sort yourselves type thing. I'm sure we could find a camp site that would take all of us.

Any takers?

My engine will be ready to run, in whatever i have it in!

i would be into it, but totally understand if you wish to make the numbers out the a-series boys first, or exclusively a-series regardless :)

Ideally what i'm looking for is to get all the highpower A series at one RR session for the mag. We've never managed it yet though!

We would be interested.

It would be a good reason to get the Miglia finished. If not I should have the 998 Turboed.

It might be an idea to do the 1/4 mile times at Bruntonthorpe. After attending the 5 port day, it seems an ideal place to test our cars out without having to queue for ages. Some of the 1/4 mile times were quicker than on the strip, so it definitely wouldn't be any disadvantage on the times.

It was quite expensive, so would need a fair few people to make it affordable. I know Matt seemed quite keen on another day out there.

There is also a circuit there so could also time the lap times!

well the plan is to beat the highest average for the miniworld power test, currently 99.63bhp.

If we can get a few at double that we'll have a good chance to keep the crown!

i'd be up for this, but mine is not exactly high powered!..but was part of the 2nd highest average in miniworld.

Can we start a list with name, brief engine spec (i.e. head/block config) for all those interested. Then once we have enough, we'll see how we go and i'll make some calls

so to start

I'd be up for it, if you run out of a-series cars.

As mine is nearly done.....ish!

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Oh yeah the cost was about £600 I believe for the whole day. So 20 people would be about £30 each.

so roughly £50 for a RR power run and then a bash at 1/4miles and track time! bargain!!

just hope for once we can get all the contenders in one place as we havent managed it yet to really see where everyones cars lie on an even playing field (RR and 1/4!) *smiley*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
