Hi all,

Still rebuilding my 998 in N/A form but bearing in mind it will go turbo in the next 4 month or so.

As I am in the process of buying parts, I was wondering what exhaust I should go for.

basic choice is RC40 as they are supposedly quieter but I want your advice on the following :

standart bore (i believe 44 mm) or large bore ?

twin box or single box ?

My guess is that I have to go with large bore / single box but I would like a quiet system

My setup will be :
12G295 head more or less standart (new bronze guides)
IC
standart pistons
Metro turbo carb and manifold
SPI exhaust manifold and Clutch mounted turbo
T2 or GT15
7 to 10 psi
Target : 100hp at the flywheel

Rusty by nature

Any 2" system will be fine.

I use the maniflow single box system. Nice and quiet with a subtle but nice side exit.

I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry.
