r1 motor bike. Moves around 250-300 cfm going to get another 1 or 2 in there. With a larger fan on the inner wing. Should keep it cool. |

Why have you decided to go down the route of bike carbs over say something like a weber? Or did you just want to be different:) On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

bike carbs and webers seem to give similar power but bike carbs give a bit more torque lower in the rev range. Also its diffrent and will fit with out any cutting while still having a good flowing inlet manifold.

Can I ask a straight out question here, are these carbs superior to a weber 45 or not?

Well they fit with out cutting. Acording to other people they give the same power as a webber 45 but with more torque lower in the rev range. Going to be better than my old su!! And look much cooler!!

got the carbs all connected up now. I'm going to need to do somthing with the throttle pedal to get some movment back at the pedal. only moves 2inchs from closed to open throttle bit of cutting and welding maybe needed. (spares throttle peadel on stand by)
