ive just been offered a toyota ct9 turbocharger from a toyota starlet. has anyone ever used one on a mini? 1275 or 998?

ive searched but cant find anyone using on in this site
the starlets run 0.6bar on a 1300 dohc engine thought it might make a nice turbo for a 998 :)

i dont know much about this but my friend has run 1 bar boost on his ct9 starlet and held the boost well.

i do no the inlet and outlet diamiters are very small on them if i remember rightly the they are in the region of 43 as we had problems getting a silicone reducer from 45-51mm to fit tightly.

the oil feed and oil drain are both on the bottom veryclose together and they are also 'water cooled'

I will mabye give it a pass then, think i will have a look in my local scrapyard to see if i can find and unwanted turbos

If I were you I would take it. You can never have enough turbos. My GT15 for my current build has a 41mm compressor outlet. I'm just going to make my own reducers

Think my next engine will be a ford 302 v8...... a ct9 might be a we bit small I could do with four of them
