I reckon that there's scope for some holes in those steering arms, you're slacking in your old age.

Dave , i mean paul. when i oprigionally built the front end i was working with wheels with 100mm backspace, then i put the race master drag tyres,
[DOT legal for drag racing] got to get that bit in lol, on some old magnesium Dymags and thay have near 125mm backspace, so just made a spacer to suit, any less and the tyre rubs on the coilover,

so i just had the spacers coloured with the rest,

What I dont understand is the theory behind the centerlock. Its not as if there is a quick wheel change needed like in touring car or F1. I would have thought four titanium nuts and studs would weigh less than a big nut and a spigot?

Si , i was going to have a lump of nodular iron cast , but when i went down the foundry it looked to have expanded a fair bit so gave ,it a miss, more employees usualy meens more expence,

so dropped in in my local factor, and what do you know they had a pair of solid early metro disks in stock, when i looked at them they had clearly been sat on the shelf for a very long time ,
but still cost me 2009 prices, lol

is that a random drill pattern and why not go for the max disc size to fit under those 13" rims if you have had to build all of the components to mount the caliper?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

drill pattern looks like a very shallow C-pattern to me.

also, i would have thought with it being for drag use the braking effort was compromised for less wieght?

although i would have thought those brake would pull you up rather nicely!

Because bigger discs weigh more.

Also because 460kg of Mini doesn't take a great deal of stopping. The old brakes (same size) were perfectly capable.
