Hi all, I found this part, it's a KKK turbo from Seat Toledo 1,9 diesel TAXI. Please, do you have any idea what can i do?
I think about to convert into a compressor, something like that:

the first picture is a supercharger :) it would in my eyes be quite difficult to convert a turbo into a supercharger. as for the turbo its self it wont be much use on a peterol turbo as it will run out of puff on higher revs

all depends on what model kkk it is mate.

the k03 (with my quite basic map knowlegde) looks like a pretty good turbo. starts to lose its efficiency at around 20psi and good for a touch over 200bananas.

the k04 however is possibly abit big and looking too close towards the surge line but is more efficient at the higher boosts.

however once more! the k03 is the turbo used on the 1.8T petrol engines so i would have thought that this would have been smaller than that. so it could as paul says not be much cop in the higher revs but give a great low boost town driver!

what numbers are on the tag? i cant quite make them out.

hi jimi ,

that turbo is capable of approxamately 175 bhp on a petrol engine ,and with a good design of power drive would work well as a supercharger ,

bear in mind though it will have to run up to 150000 rpm to make a lot of boost , its compressor wheel is used at 18 psi in another kkk turbo ,so would work well at that range .

Just buy a supercharger?!?! Why would you go to all that effort? Turbos aren't designed to take drive from a metre long shaft which obviously isn't well balanced. Wouldn't you need loads of proper bearings to stop it shitting itself in no time? Major waste of time imo

thank you all very much for your help. I would like to convert to supercharger because of the reliability of "A series" engine, my mini is for daily driving, I don't want to increase to much power. The current engine is SPi However I have a 998cc block and an SU carb for this conversion, I believe is a fine idea to start. Also at Greece is very difficult and expensive to buy these parts.... Thank you again, if I start I will inform you again
