After having my car weighed on Saturday it is in need of some major weight loss. It weighed in at a massive 640kg's!

THe top rail is structural. Not wise to remove! On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

as Vegard sais really, however the bottom rail can go if you have a cage then you can fit a dash rail, also the head lining rails and c pillar seat mounts. i would only reccomend removing these if you have a cage though.

Seat belt mounts and rear pockets will be going along with the inner guttering, front part of rear seat and possibly a few other parts. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

There's a whole load of weight to remove if you chip all that tar/sound deadening from the floor. |

Thats not a bad idea, I recon alot more could be taken out of that too. Would it be possible to replace the rod change with an ally rod or would it just bend? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

I'm actually thinking of an inanimate carbon rod for the gear stick.

Remember you can only lighten the selector if it's mounted internally.
