I think we are all expecting to drive out 200+ banana minis around a track flat out and expecting them to sit at 70 degrees is a bit unrealistic. I'm keen to do a track day in mine so I can push it for 15 - 20mins, without slowing down for traffic to see if it stays cool enough. I've got my doubts that it will.

We shall see in good time. The head is off and is undamaged so that is the main thing.

Pleasingly though I've just reverse-extracted a couple of lap times from the video, by no means exact of course, but I cross the line at 4:25, then 5:44, then 7:02, meaning I was lapping just under 1:20 if the video is to be believed. Not sure what anything else does round Combe but at least I'm consistant!

Lift offs at folly were due to an earlier big sideways moment and oil/cement all over the track; see point II "bring it back in one piece" LOL LOL

righ TOm, ive just watched it again, and from my calcs, if you follow my marker pint,
when you turn into the esses at 4.56 mins, then same point on next lap i get it at 6.14.
that makes it 1 18. gop try see if its just me,lol.

but if its right it really must shift because you really are looking cautious at lots of places,lol.

I was definitely being cautious in a lot of places where I could have gone faster, but as I saw it, it was just a fun day out, so no point going balls out and risking binning the car. It seems 1:18-20 are respectable lap times nevertheless.

It did look like a point and squirt type drive. Mind you when you squirted the vision blured (like warp speed on the starship enterprise) and the other minis on track get closer very quickly. Very impressive.
