well. i have beavered away on a 202 head and with the stainless MS valves and quite a bit of effort I managed to get (at 11mm lift) 60 CFM@10 inches of water on the exhaust.

which basicly means that is flows more or less the same than a pretty decently ported st3 12G940 with a 29mm exhaust valve i have tested.

intake is yet to be finished but i suspect quite a bit of flow there as well.

all in all i think that while it is a huge amount of work, a 12g202 is a very viable option for a turbo head as you can get pretty decent flow ( probably down to the ''taller'' ssr which gives you room for creating a nice radius) and a low compression without resorting to much exotic work and keeping enough meat to keep a gasket alive..

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system

there are some more in the pic section.
It looks a lot like most other pics of worked ports but less tidy.

But there is quite a lot of subtle shape change near the SSR and the parts you can not see and have to work blindly and of course a LOT of guide boss removal. Port runners are only very slightly increased/reshaped so port speed should be nice and high.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I just skimmed my 202 after HOURS of work, to get 9:1 comp. I then found a crack between a water channel and the combustion chambers. That's because so many of you wankers run without anti freeze. Bugger!

I can quarantee that that head was run with anti freeze though Vegard! It was the original head from my time machine 1100, which had covered 58000 since new when that head was taken off. The block and other parts where spotless, heck I didnt even change the waterpump on it... And it had the cast impellor.

I seriously doubt that rust is the case with this one...

Also the head isnt yours*tongue*

Anyway, it was corroded inside. Maybe 70-ies antifreeze was junk!

No, it isn't mine, you're free to collect it anytime *tongue*

I guess it was rusty from storage yes, but severe pitting on the inside is not what caused this, it must have been some trouble while casting, or the grinding we have done on it... The block was spotless on the inside when I rebuilt that engine
