cool, i was planning on doing this to mine cos i hate the huge speedo that never reads anywhere near the right speed. no way am i paying £100 for speedy cables to recalibrate it either.

The rear drum seemed a logical place to put it. Out of the way.

There are ones that record it all, and can be hooked up to a computer, replaying speed (graph form), altitude, acceleration etc. :] |

I am also using one: called Sigma Sport 1600: 250km/h max speed, also with average speed, max speed +++..... Mounted the sensor magnet into the rear drum - works perfect for one year now! Take care to buy one which reads more than 99miles. (except you drive a std. 850 Mini) Bimmer Twinky headed and turboed A-Series:

With this schematic http://www.planetabuggy.com.br/eletronics/computador.htm and this http://hp.autometer.com/products/accessori...edo_sender.html you can make a decent speedo...
