Hi Guys

Where is the best place to start gathering basic information regarding fuel injecting my car?

I understand the basics but when I read some of the posts on here every now and again I get someting usually an aberviation etc that goes clean over my head. I want to start at the beggining and work my way up.

In the big picture I am looking to replace a single 45 weber with injection on a pretty high state of tune 1310.

Cheers in advance

Mark

Buy a book and start reading on EFI is a good start. Dave Walkers book, or there is a guy called Graham Bell who has two good info books - one is called 'four stroke perfomance tuning' the other is called 'modern engine tuning'

Seriously - I'm not trying to give you a cold shoulder - but if you read and study - and have them on-hand as a refernce, you will know everything (short of A-series specific) to know exactly what is needed.

Hi Dave

I didnt think you were trying to give me the cold shoulder. I realise I am going to have to study and the information you gave regarding the books is just the sort of thing I am after. Books links to sites etc. I am trying to filter out some of the rubbish that is out there because there is so much of it. So rather than buy and read a book to find out it is no good it better to get people to recommend stuff

Thanks

Mark

Hi,
There's a Haynes book, written by Dave Walker too, I don't know if that's the same one TD is referring too.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

G Bell's '4 stroke ...' is one of the best books I've read. The other one is a kind of simplified '4 stroke ...'. He also has a book on turbo engines, not the best in the area.
There is a book written by the Emerald farther, in Haynes. Is that Walker ?
You'll likely find some books in Haynes series explaining EFI principles. Don't buy Bosch 'Motronic' tech sheets, not worth money.

Look at motorbooks.co.uk

The megamanual is worth a look. Although geared towards megasquirt users, there is a lot of very good information in it that will apply to any port injection system, and the price can't be sniffed at!
