Is this a T2 equivalent and has anyone run one of these and know what they are like?

post up some piccies and have a look for the A/R numbers on it dude. there should be one on the comp housing somewhere, and one on the exhaust side, usually hidden under the manifold flange.

AirResearch?
Are these the turbos that have a stand-alone oiling system?Meaning they don't need to be plugged into the engines oil system?

Sorry to drag up an old thread but i have just purchased one of these turbos and i was just wondering if anyone can tell me if it is the same as a t2?
it was sold as a t2 from a renault 5 turbo
on the compressor housing is says 'a/r.48 Airesearch M 10:
and on the exhaust housing is says
M - 4
PT - 4
AR.35

Is this turbo suitable for a 998 turbo application?

Thanks in advance
Iain

Betwix Harrogate and York

That is a T2 with the same A/Rs as an R5 T2. So it is what it says.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.
