Good Day All.

I have been looking over the site all morning trying to find a picture or two of the MEMs Flywheel Trigger Patten.

As anyone got a picture or two they could please post up, or maybe a link to where I might find said picture(s).

Thanks for your time.

This SPi one may be of some use:

Hi,
Here you go...

Don't be concerned about the fact it's for an Elise, they are exactly the same trigger pattern *wink* The teeth will look like the SPi one
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Gavin,

That's not the SPi pattern. The SPi pattern is the one shown in Paul's link which is 34 teeth plus 2 missing teeth 180 degrees apart (36-1-1 in a dual 18-1 pattern).

The one you refer to is more like an MPi pattern but I haven't checked to see if it's identical.

By the way, the MPi pattern can be used for a dizzyless setup (wasted spark without a cam sensor or COP with one) but the SPi cannot because there is no way to identify the cylinder with this pattern unless there is a cam sensor.

Hi,
Jean as he was asking for MEMs pattern I assumed MPi was what he was asking for?
The picture is the Mpi pattern but the reluctor is machined into it, whereas the Mpi/SPi flywheels have the toothed rings clipped in.
Sorry, I should have made this clearer in the OP :(
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Gavin,

I guess I read your post a bit too quickly and thought you were saying that this was the SPi pattern.

By the way, this is the Rover #2 pattern in the latest MS2/extra code (and JimStim). The SPi is the Rover #1 pattern.

Hi,
Just for the sake of mentioning a piece of not related information, it would seem the Rover used this pattern on K series engines and the sensor is still timed in to the same place too.
Cheers,
Gavin :)
