Mini In the Park - Stand?

Hello.

Got some stuff in the post a while back about club stands for MITP.

Do we want one? They want us to buy tickets up front, but I'll probably be able to blag that.

If we want it and have enough cars, I'll book one.

Jot your name down if you want to be on it. Also tell us if you're planning to run on the strip or not.

I'm hoping to be there, Sunday only this year most likely, probably no point having a stand pass as I would be spending most of the day on the strip.

im thinking the same as tom, im hoping to spend my life on the strip so im thinking its not worth it for me

not for me this year, going to V instead which happens to be the same weekend!

I'll be there. Don't mind slinging mine on the stand. Will probably take mine up the strip if the queues aren't too bad aswell though.

Not going to bother with a stand - we can park up in the paddock together instead

Roll on MITP. 17th of Aug, ill be there and with the tangerine machine. Not sure if ill hit the black strip, is the idea of the stand still on??

the facilities at the Pod are a fair bit better than Avon and the trade goes there in force- so more to see for peeps on foot, more food stands, beer tent, monster trucks etc I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the "new" Avon - just need to get the organisers to put some proper race classes together and voila off we go!
Saying that Avon crew seem to be able to get the track running up together a lot quicker than the pod - going from how long it took them to get the track going at Retro Car show after the rain and the fire up lanes tend to be busy. Again this may be all down to how many non minis are allowed to run on the day

last year was pretty shite,

I've been to bugjam a couple of times at the pod and that really is an event, lots of stalls including stuff like oneils, mambo and other clothing stuff, a funfair, comedy tent (heckled Ross Noble there, and got away with it lol!) plus bands, show and shine, hotest scrubber contest etc

mind you that does run all weekend so organizers are bound to make more effort, not been to avon so cant compare it to that, but there is a lot of scope compared to what we saw last MITP.
