Hi Chaps

While my engine is in bits im making a few changes to my vmax scart supercharger set up. At current the injectors sit in the flange between the air pipe and the supercharger inlet/mouth and were glued (i presume with some sort of resin) in to the bush's. Im making a new one out of all stainless so i can polish it up and make what i believe would be a couple of improvements. What i want to do is put a very fine thread on the snout of the injector (not where the o-ring is) and thread them in rather than use a resin to secure them again. I would still keep the o ring in order to get the seal. what i need to know Can i do this to injectors? and is the body quite thick?
Cheers
Andy

I have a few old injectors, not from a mini, but Bosch ones that should be of similar design. You can have one if you like to machine it and see what happens. I am in Cheshire too, but will post it if you PM me your address.

The other option is rather than threading it, normally they are push fit and held in by the fuel rail and sealed with the O ring, rather than "glued" in place. You might just want to make a retaining bracket or clip of some type.

Thanks

Hi dn89mini thanks very much for the offer, ive had a rething and am thinking of using a double split bush now which means i can easily remove them if needed and they wont be damaged or mod'd in any way.
Cheers again
