Disco - we have varied this over the years used to do it in the marquee then moved into the onsite disco at the main campsite
I am tempted to do it at our marquee this year - Mikeys Mini Disco My car rigged to a mixer Keeps with the whole MIni theme.
Preliminary itinery for the weekend
Friday evening chill out & pub crawl in Pooley Bridge
Saturday 10 ish - Ferry raid - I am planning to split the cars into 2 groups - classic & new & send them down either side of lake windermere to fill the ferry. (we hold the world record for the most cars on it in one go) From the ferry raid the treasure hunt will start at a secret location
if you miss the ferry raid you will be able to start the treasure hunt from the site
Saturday evening - party
Sunday 9am drivers briefing, route notes given out then off for the drive of your life
Sunday afternoon - 4pm prize giving

There are trophies for the quiz, treasure hunt, best presented classic & best presented new MIni
The best presented awards only apply to cars that are used on the runs not those that just sit at the camp all weekend






if you like camping and driving mini or binis on the best roads in the country lake district, then you gotta does this weekend. theres normally somesort of treasure hunt on the sat then the main tour on the sunday, which last year was something like around 140 miles following directions (well pace notes lol) really is an excellent weekend.

I've tried emails minimad club about details but no response, any assistance would g be greatly aprietiated. Myself and some good friends did the Lakelands tour for about 5 years Fooking brilliant !!!!!!

looks like a nice trip... dont fancy the water much tho, think i would be getting wet.

I got soaked, the passenger got soaked and the mini was nearly killed (so sideways I was looking at the hedge through the windscreen) last year by a massive puddle so I stay away from water wherever possible now!

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
