Think the original spax ones are 4mm steel. Seems abit over the top.

Interesting. I think alluminium will suffice Rob. Edited by Jason G on 22nd Nov, 2007. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:

i saw these on 16v mini today http://www.16vminiclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8874 I thought they were quite a nice design My concern with these is that they mount the bottom of the shocks even further inwards. EDIT: I'm guessing from the article on the 16V site that these are metro arms, so there is a good chance that the suspension geometry may well be different to that of a Mini. The lower mount could be one piece too. Looks like the side parts are just to spread the load from the ball joint nut. Not sure about the strength of a single piece mount On 22nd of Nov, 2007 at 10:54pm milamber said:
Looking from the side of the car, is the top mount at a slight angle to the lower one??? Not sure what you mean? The shocks are definitely at an angle, but then the arms are near the top of there travel and would be close to the bump stops (if I'd fitted bump stops) Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

I think you've only got to worry about the compression of the shock on the lower arm. Should be ok

mine were like the picture rob h posted above. depending on how low you want to go with them, i.e alot lower than standard then they hit the subframe.

I like your idea steveobennet. I expect it depends what offset etc is on the wheels. Don't them to hit. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:
