I've got a few pics uploaded, but am only going to post one of them - such is the time to uplad that 56K people may get annoyed!!!

The rest are:

I am fortunate enough to have seen this develop over the last 8 months, and even saw it at York last Sunday for it's second 'shakedown'. Ignition problems plagued the front engine, but it was loud and impressive nonetheless...

I think I'd make the exhaust pipes a bit longer if I had no windscreen! nutter

This is one of the main reasons I'm going to avon park. And to hopefully see Chris Lockhart crash in a straight lie again.

Has Carl, ever done a comparison run, with the air dam off the car, I cant imagine downforce is important and it would certainly affect Cd ???
I guess having the windscreen out helps with airflow to the rear unit, as well as, reducing the Cd a bit

if carl wants to tell people what he`s planning , i`m certain he`ll post it on MC , but i would be rude of me to post on here what he planning before he tells people , don`t think its any big secert , just not my place to talk about other peoples plans. if u understand.

Alex, cos if theres no glass to form a frontal area, (ie the air goes straight through), then it aint going to go into a frontal area caculation

Dave,
I didnt realise I had to have X number of drag runs under my belt before being able to ask questions.
I apologise most sincerely to the know it all mighty one Seat does look superb

What the f**k ever...

Go and do the CD calcs and see what a huge difference it makes on a car with a 110mph top speed...
Then add the factor that the air that 'simply' passes through the space where the screen was WONT actually 'flow' nicely through an open area full of vorticees and turbulence...

Mark, all I ment was you know all the goings on!! Almost a gossip king, but you dont goppsih, just know the scene :)

Aerodynamics is so complicated it is not true, unless you have some technical knowledge then its best not to guess at the outcomes...

Not being rude or getting at Paul at all, just making a statement.

I covered some aerodynamics when I was at Uni doing Physics, and it was a rock hard subject!!! :)

That why I asked the question alex, as a comparison run would give an indication of effect. Did my bit on fluid mechanics at uni. all of 15 years ago, so dont remember didly squat :)

in my intrest in twin engined cars and not wanting to start a new tread on this i do a smaal hack on this one. i was wondering... im always been said power output on both engine's needs to be equal but in fact does it? the les stronger engine gets helped by the stronger engin right? or vice versa... the stronger engine needs to take some more of the work... i do mean with 2 engines seperated each driving an axle.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

AWD cars don't always have a 50-50 torque split between front and rear so why would you need it with 2 engines?

True. There are also a few hybrid cars around now that drive one set of wheels with the main engine and the other axle with a much smaller electric motor for a boost.

Not so relevant for a drag car, but if both axles are driven with significant power and each engine has different torque curves, then it would make the car unpredictable in the corners. If the torque split is a constant ratio (or closely controlled by an ECU) then this is fine, but much trickier to do with two unconnected engines.

a yes. like the back end would like to pull faster then the front end or vice versa. so nothing to do with a road car *happy* not that i would ever have the money for that...

but out of interest both engines would need an ecu that communicate to each other powering down one engine when needed.
