This weekend is the final rounds for the mini sevens and miglias.

Max Hunter has already one the mini 7, but there is only 3 point seperating Endaf Owens, Andy Hack & Kelly Rogers. No doubt it will be down the the wire again. Should be some good racing, and well worth a seeing.

Jason, I have only seen them race once at the 35th aniversary at Silverstone. Boy did they look SLOW on the main straight at 'Stone after being used to watching F1 there. I must say that I was deeply unimpressed at the time.

Watching the incar footage that Jimster has posted recently though it looks like close racing which should be good to watch so I'll have to try and catch a race soon.
Didn't even know the Migs raced at Combe (40-45 mins from my house) until Jimster told me this year ..... needs better advertisement I think. Is it covered on any TV channels at all???

Unfortuanately Endaf came second in the championship

I shall do a brief, from what i know analysis

Race one- Started on pole and lead up until the second from last lap when he missed a gear and andy hack slipped through. Unfortuately this did a great job of dropping endaf back, however next lap round endaf was right on him and he finished second by 0.06s, amazing considering what was later found out

Gutting, but fastest lap in the race

Missing the gear presumably bent all 8 of the valves and he lost compression in 1 cylinder completely. how he pulled him in so well was incredible

By race 2 all was repaired ready for the ultra slippy track.
The se7ens did a fine impression of the death dodgems, and i think only 1 car came back in looking untouched

Endaf was on pole and this was a terrible disadvantage-he was on the wet line and hack on the dry line.
As a result andy hack got the better start and led into the first corner. Every lap endaf put on a great show and we were all going crazy and the bank as he came into the ultra sharp corner at the top of the map:


For most of the laps endaf was on hack down the speedway straight(?) and it became a drag down to that corner, including endaf briefly taking the lead a couple of times. But each and every time hack had the better line and could hold him off

Later in the race endaf aparently went a little to hot into one corner going onto the wet line, and dropped back to about 5 mini lengths, but on the last lap endaf had it back and trying so hard ran wide on that sharp corner putting 2 wheels just on the grass. Come the end of the lap endaf and hack were close but not close enough and the win went to andy hack once again leaving him to take the championship

Endaf took the fastest lap again, and i reckon if he had started in second the win would have probably of been his as he just seemed to have the edge and be quicker all the way round, but hack did a great job of holding his line with a faultless drive for the 13 or something laps

Shame for Endaf but sounds like he went down fighting.

It was a great day out

I had my hand in my pocket flicking my battery cover on my fone on and off in excitement and nerves

and the se7ens had me wishing i had 3 pairs of eyes. I need to raise the money to do this soon

unfortunetly, we all drank so much Sunday night, we can't even remember any of the weekend.

Endaf did well, bearing in mind the 1st few rounds of he was using a home built engine, and 2nd hand tyres which were 7 years old. If we knew then it was going to be down to 2 points at the end of the season then maybe would have put our hands in our pockets a bit deaper.

Even so a good result, every round this year Endaf did well on either getting on the podium or getting fastest laps. indeed roll on 2008

2nd place in the Miglia championship is NOTHING to be sniffed at.
