the guy that doingthe maching has done it alot for eover v8 rods & was saying they have no probs

worst case situ i can get some older a-series rods, whats ya thoughts cause are'nt there big end bearing differances between a & a+ rods/crank

I'm using A series rods in my A+ 998 turbo with circlip pistons.

Morspeed just swapped them for me.

There are usually some going on ebay.

is this a small bore then?

I'd say yes do it as you'll be able to take the pistons off easily, but personally i would definatly add some PTFE or ally buttons so the circlip/ gudgeon pin can't go AWOL at high RPM.

I think Will or Ben H posted some dimensions for some they made for the TT a year or so ago. I think Minispare might sell them too.

As has been said no problems doing this but fit the teflon buttons or else your just asking for a knackered bore sooner or later!!!!

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

If you are using the 20773 pistons I have a set of buttons to fit.

I'm now using the Mega pistons and made some new buttons up, as they are different.

Mine are made from PTFE, there is a guide in the HOW TO section.

You can get the PTFE in 20mm bar cheap off ebay.

Aren't the gudgeon pins equal?

I was under the impression that only the rods were different.
