Used them since i was 19, can't rate them highly enough. Staff are always friendly and quotes are very competitive.

Just got a quote for my mini turbo, everything declared, £197.86. That covers me on other cars too. Can't believe how cheap that is.

I use them not because of the price but because my mate had a very modified Beetle insured with them and when he crashed it they were fantastic at paying out, I've heard allot of horror stories about insurance companies being funny about paying out on modified cars so it's reassuring to know that HIC will pay out should the worst happen.

The only thing I don't like is the £20 admin fee whenever you make changes, as my BOC has been an evolving project over 5 or 6 years now I've had to make a few changes to my policy.

josh, i'm 23 with no points or crashes.

They were very keen for me to get an agreed valuation as well, so that if the worst did happen, i'll get top dollar for the car.

Granted they aren't always the cheapest. When i had my supercharged VR, flux were cheaper by miles, but they are a nightmare to deal with.

Flux ....... I have a really nasty first hand story about them and will not use them again .... not something for a public forum though.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

i know that flux bought hic about a year ago, but they still trade separately and have different paperwork processes. I'd only go with flux is i absolutely had to. Too much paperwork and the customer service is poor.

they are friendly and cheap but my immaculate Mk1 got written off (some bird ran into the back of it) and they wouldnt honour the agreed value.

Not too impressed.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

leeds/wakefield.

why do you say they would't honour the agreed value, if the third party hit you from behing, they would surely be responsible and as such liable to indemnify your loss , therefore you cannot lose out by law, yoyu would be claiming from there insurance not yours,

theres something your not telling us,.

They said they had no documentation for an agreed value.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!
