Well done Paul for organising our team. I suppose as he orgainsed it, it was Ok for him to be the only person who didn't do a night shift and got 8 hours seelp in the motor home.

We didn't quite win - but I think we realised our chances were going to be limited when we saw some of the other teams arriving ( one from Denmark - complete with full matching gear - several "pro" teams from Kart tracks round the country and the winners of the 2005 Le Mans 24 hour Kart race !!! ) Some of the teams had drivers who would have have made Max Hunter look overweight !!!

The Mini Seven Club had several "first" / "quickest" / "highest" achievements, but unfortuntately these were in the categories - who can get black flagged fastest (I'm certain it was slightly more than four laps) The most number of Black flags in a session (Jimbo). Nearest to getting into a fight on the circuit ( that could have been Endaf / Mark W / Rick or Mike or anyone else ..) and to top it all we were the first ones to get a flag to our driver for the last 10 laps of the race - Clarky still managed to do a good job of driving with the Mini Seven flag flying from his car.

As you can guess in true Mini Seven style we had a good time.

when discussing greame's record breaking black flag in four laps, one must remember that the lap record stood at just over 18 seconds, so he was called in for dangerous driving in well under 2mins. Upon realising that the power to weight ratio may be a tad down on his kart compared to the other drivers, he took the only option of driving any kart that dared to overtake him, into the wall.

Thanks for a good 24 hours guys! Maybe we would have been quicker if myself Endaf and Mark Wanstall didn't go for curry and a few pints half way through!

Sorry about the bad driving on my behalf, I was going to have a crack at miglia's this year, I think I better wait till 2008 do I can learn to drive, and save up for some more arches and front ends!
