The problem you will find is that the Mini was never made with an engine over 1400 so it is not strictly speeking eligible for the upto 2000 class. If you intend to race in the Auto66 championship then I would advise contacting the championship coordinator and ask what class it would run in.

Ben is right class 16 it is. You might start okay in class 6 but a protest by another competitor will get you moved! On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

To be honest though, if you just want a bit of cheep fun then you will always get an entry. If you don't care about class and do a duel drive then you will enjoy it anyway.

Just as a quick note to save confusuion in the future. Class 10 is an arbitary classification used by the Auto66 club. Each club uses a different numbering system. The name of the class (i.e. Modified Production) is how the MSA class them. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I was hoping to apply now for a 2007 licence so i can get my blue book in advance. I have already applied for my 2007 licence, but it was on a form that they sent me. that one to download is deffo for 2006. Give them a quick call. ahh i see now... Still i guess the ERA turbo is the get ot clause to start, not like i'll be winning anything! Whilst 1071s might have had some success blagging in the SW - not enough ERAs produced to count as a production car/engine in real terms. see 12.1.2 the vehicles must have beenoriginally available through the normal commercial channels of the manufacturer in quantities of not less than 100 vehicles within 12 consecutive months. ERA never made Minis Rover did so that is a no. 100 cars in a 12 month period I don't know that this was ever achieved as only 110 were sold between 1988-1991 in the UK (300 went to Japan) also was the ERA a homolgated car or a new mini converted after it was sold? For road going it needs to be 5000 see 11.5.2 On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:
