in all honesty, ive tailgated cars/buses/vans through similar things, and before watching that, would probably have given it a shot too tbh!

When helping out my Dad about 12 months ago I went out to recover a Toyota Yaris that had driven into a "raisng barrier" on of those that angles up out of the road. It was a 54 plate car, and was written off as the damage was so bad.

Deathtraps? Those people knew that bollard would go up or they wouldn't have been trying to get in cheekily by tailgating. If it's the same video I watched a little while back, I'd say it was their own fault.

my mate was a traffic warden in a car park. In this car park there were some static bollards, about 1.5m high. One of them was bent to something like 70deg.

one day a lad came down the entrance, and drove straight up the bollard, and impailed the car on it!!!

aparently the lad was really embarrased and wanted to get it off with MINIMUM fuss, so he called his dad, but there was nothing he could do to get it off, so they called out a recovery truck.

they couldnt budge it and so called the fire brigade. They arrived with the blues and twos on.

they couldnt move it, so called in something with a crane on- part of the carpark had to be taped off.

Whilst lifting the car, a fireman slashed his arm badly. So an ambulance was called!!!!

whilst hoping for minimum fuss a whole scene was caused!!

I would have paid to have seen this episode

christ!! in that last van the passengers head smashes the windscreen!!!

some ones going to get killed with them

jeez, he does smack his head don't he!

plus the speed he gets out he's obviously not wearing his belt.

the thing i dont get is surely the people in there m ust know that the barriers are for and surely theres sign posts etc telling people not to go in that area?.
