A bit of background.

WIth my previous setup I had two 30lb injectors setup using a multipoint strategy. I was having trouble with idle and low RPM running. Once the engine got into boost, and the RPM's were high enough the engine ran fine. Doing a little bit of reading of past topics, the point was brough up about staged injection.

It seemed to make sense so I decided to give it a try.

Below is a picture of the maifold with my injector setup. The injector in the center is a 42lb/hr and its the main injector. I have the haltech turn on the other two (24lb/hr) when the boost level gets above 5psi. The car runs and idles fine now, the tuning is not exactly 100% but the car is almost as drivable as it was with the SU when not into boost. It idles fine and drives through the rpms normally. Hopefully all I need is some more dyno time to get everying tuned in.

In the future I would like to redo how the injectors are placed, I would like to keep the main injector where it is, and place the staged injector behind the main injector (similar positioning just back farther)

THe way the setup is now, the car definatly has 100 wheel hp potential, I juet need to upgrade the clutch to handle the power. Now it tends to slip when I get the boost up around the 28psi range.

Cheers,

-Sean

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

28psi and you havent achieved 100whp ???

cool setup though.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Rather you than me! LOL!

Ifd you need 28psi to make more then enough power you're doing something very wrong LOL!

Its a bone stock high mileage 998; I also have the timing between 8 and 12 degrees when the boost levels get up above 10, I just dont want to hurt the engine yet. In my experience its better to make up the loss of power due to low timing with more pressure.

While the engine is out for the clutch change, I am going to change the cam and then back to the dyno for more ##'s

THAT LOOKS GOOD SEAN ,WELL DONE FOR PUSHING THE ENVELOPE ! I THINK YUOLL BE SUPRISED WHEN YOU CRANK THE TIMING UP TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE , blast bloody caps!
should be really interesting.specially if you have a turbo on there that is efficient at 28.
regards robert.

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM
