Well this is what 1293cc of my lil Turbo Twin Kam can do. As I've alluded to in previous posts we didn't bash the hell out of it with loads of boost as theres no point in that, so the boost is 22psi constant from 4.5k-8k the torque curve shows that everything is working well and really flowing some air from 6k upwards. From my previous post on the show us yours thread and the MMag article you'll see I designed the engine to work in the 4k-8.5k region and thats what she does, There isn't a massive torque surge in the mid range like the 5 ports do but it wasn't designed for this - its designed to produce a broad spread at higher revs where the head/cams/turbo combo breathes.

So the Worlds first genuine 300bhp + turbo A series based motor on pump gas(without Nos of course Matt W -that ones still yours)?

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!

A bit bigger for us with dodgy eyesight!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I was not expecting such a peak torque figure, well the figure not so much more the rpm! I know the cam specs will be a bit of a secret. But i can only presume more then 280 degree?

A surprisingly flat torque curve. Well done. This should go well.

Now lets see that traction control in use this year *smiley*

Bloody hell John.

Who would have thought this was possible ?

Issigonnis will be turning in his grave.

A fantastic achievement and a real credit to you.

What's the power to weight of the gold un ?

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Well done John! This will be absolutely brutal!

I know it's not been posted, but Jimster has ran 30psi through his 16v motor. That's got to have netted him 300hp.

So possibly 3 in the 300 nana club? Who would have thought it?

In the 13's at last!.. Just

well done John that's increadable power for that little boost. the graph looks super. And the Power to wait must be the highest on the board.

But at what rpm?

Should make a few drag events interesting this year. Yet more records maybe?

That's very impressive, an amazing torque curve. No doubt with full traction control, it will be interesting to see it do the 1/4.

Ben - yes it'll be interesting to say the least, just as well it has tc otherwise I'd be up the creek properly, we'll have a look at boost control in the gears as well as I'm sure that much power is too much for first gear and most of second. We'll be running launch as well so there should be "enough" boost available off the line to really get the TC thinking. I think I'd get the record for most tyre smoke without the electronics

that torque curve is immense, truely envious! and at a measly 22psi, shows me i have a long way to go before my head flows as efficently! something to aim for lol
