If not strip it so you can keep all of the valves, springs and bits. Then get a new standard head and give it to Turbo Phil. he will sort you out.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Simon I have an old A 1275 casting from an old kestral that needs a serious refurb. I'm sure phil could sort it out. I'm just south of him on the 11th. it was the valves and bits that jumped the price of mine up when he rebuilt it. LMK if you get stuck.

Hello Simon

I've seen a picture of your dry cell battery, I think it’s a Odyssey 25? are you happy with it? Does it have enough power to run your engine?

I am loving being off work at the min. I have had 3 full days working on bits for the car.
The first of the matty manifolds i had to do some work on it and the block to fit my turbo nice and tight to the block.

all refaced

and the start of my new Heavy duty blanking plate

I am moving the alt hole out a bit so the alt will hang closer to the block.

and ths litte baby came in the post today

Thanks simon.

Sorry to drag this up from way back. I'm building a similar setup to what you've got here. Why did you need to modify the manifold? I thought this manifold and a GT17 would go straight on with no need for a bulkhead box?
Cheers Daz

Daz - its because simon isn't using a gt17, and it was a bit of an unknown if it could be made to fit without bulkhead mods. The way we originally thought it would work didn't, so Simon had to make some alterations to suit the new compresson housing position and bring the turbo closer to the block. *wink*

This is why TM is so good,

So the call was made to Turbo Phil and the deal was made, but I was going to Afghan so this is where the TM spirit started. Graham dropped the old head off with Phil as I went off to afghan, when the head was Done nic had offered to collect it for me when he gets his new head as he drives past my house to work.

So when I got back on R&R I sorted the cash out for Phil and Nic came and got it, to take it to MITP to give to Phil. However nic could not make it to MITP so in steps Robert he went and got it for Nic, so then when I got back Nic said he would call in and drop it off.

So I would just like to say a big thanks to all that helped out with me getting this head.

I have been working for the last week on the car and i will do a big update in a bit.

I have a spreadsheet that jo setup for me, that i put in the before & after then it tells me what the saving is and with a grand total. I have been out there every night for the last week so it needs a good update.
As its still at 25.150kgs saving from R&R.
