great news, there is light at the end of the tunnel, hope its not too much of a big job to change the head with a charger fitted.

Thats a pisser but at least you got it running. On the assumption its push rod holes, could they not be simply sleeved?? |

I'm thinking the same as John. I think I will just whack Benny's/Brett's/John's MED head on it for the short term and worry about this one later.

The new head has arrived (good skills John). It will be on and back running by the end of next weekend. In the mean time I will be reading up on EFI an SXTune... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Just ordered the gaskets I don't have (only short the manifold gasket), should have it back together by the end of next weekend.

The gaycharger and efi are a bit fidly to get on/off, takes a bit longer than a turbo & carb. I need to take the zaust off and clean it out too....

I've done that. We started with the basic 1275 map with a 20 degree metro turbo ignition map on it.

I find if the car has been stood for a bit it needs a massive slug of fuel to get the car started.
