Ive just offered up my new bearing, and it looks like it should do the job nicely. It was the strongest bearing I could find that fitted in the space available...fingers crossed it holds up!

Cheers! That was my total saving for both seats. So it was 295g per mount. Im going to try and get another 50g out of each mount to bring it to a nice even 1.5kg saving. *happy*

It must have been heavy, I struggled to get rid of 15kgs over the winter and that included a set of Force wheels.

Have you added weight for the box?

Wil - To be honest I ended up saving a little weight fitting the box, as I was able to lighten the pedal box, ditch the top and bottom dash rails, parcel shelf, master cylinder plate, and weber box.

A lot of the weight savings have been fairly substantial, but I have litterally lightened everything I have taken off, most of which saved less than 100g each but they've all added up! I saved 3kgs on the subframe, 0.5kgs on shock mounts, 3.5kgs on windscreen, 3.4 kgs on the bootlid, 2.5kgs removing unnessary panels, 2kgs on the braking system, 1.2kgs on the seat mounts, 1kg on new fibreglass bumpers.

Every little helps. *wink*

How did you lighten the windscreen? Added fresh air vents?

Hi Matty I've just had some done for at:
C-Tech
Unit 12, Chartmoor Road
Leighton Buzzard
Beds. LU7 4WG
Tel: 01525 850072
Fax: 01525 853934
Email: info@c-tec-anodisers.co.uk
Exellent survice, loads of different types of cleaning and coatings, and I paid cash which nearly halved the initial quote. Highly recomended mate*tongue**tongue**tongue*
