On the above pictures Has the release bearing been running on the clutch cover constantly? My thrusts did the same at mitp last year, don't think I was running enough clearance. |

Yes it has. Carl said the same about the thrusts when I dropped the crank off t'other day. We had them on bottom tolerance. Going to leave a little bit more room next time round. Edited by apbellamy on 1st Sep, 2011. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

We think the clutch wasn't adjusted as well as it could be. Possibly too much meat taken of the lugs on the back plate and the arm bent too much. It's not been right since we put it on on the first engine. Hopefully a verto with mainly standard parts will sort all that out... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Luckyish... I've had to have 0.025" taken of the damaged thrust face. Carl has surface ground the new thrusts so they are spot on now.
