I don't think BMC ever imagined that the cain would have to take over 200 bananas and 150+ torque. Personally I'd prefer a gear than a chan for drive.

It turns out I can't use standard input gears toegther so looks like its going to be some custom ones. Ive been thinking about running the engine backwards to avoid the extra gear, the only major problem I can think of is the direction of the oil pump, which I can't see an easy solution to? Have not visited this site in a long time, found this thread again and read the whole thing from start to finish. Amazing work you are doing. Maybe you could eliminate the idler by using a chain. BMC competitions department tried it, they experimented with chain drive to eliminate the idler gear. the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

Its from car builders solutions. It just a universal fuse box, but if you look at the link, it comes ready to be installed with a very simple diagram to follow. The only downside is that you'll have to make a completely new loom to install it, which ive spent the last week doing.

Yep I drilled out the shaft. :) I was going to replace it with a tube but I thought it would be easier just to drill out on the lathe. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

Do you have a cage mate? If not then sub 500 should be possible? I dont have the weight of a turbo, intercooler and plenum so it's a bit easier lol Avon 2010 class c 3rd

I have a rear cage fitted. Its the suspension (unsprung weight) thats needs the most attention on mine. I'll be about 20kgs down from last year from my calcs, so im guessing its around 530kgs now.
