What does the gt17 feel like compared to t3 on similar boost levels? And what sort of power would it make compared to a t3 on similar boost levels?

Chalk and Cheese

The T3 builds up boost in a big lump at about 4k then kicks you in the back. The GT17 builds boost from low down the rev range and makes it pull like a train from low rev's.

Here's a poor quality vid of the dials etc. You can just see the temp gauge on the dash. That's temp at the plenum and it doesn't get above 30 degrees on the rollers. Show's the intercooler's doing it's job well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWBBUnKNVCA

Interestingly, his AFR was a little leaner than what is shown on our gauge.

I saw 36 degrees in that video. Still not too bad.

Needs a load of new metal before it gets paint, shell is fooked!

The smoke was just clearing it's throat on a low boost run early on. Think I'll be using him again.

According to John torque steer at full chat in third (on a private road of course) at approaching 80 mph is not fun...

Yeah looking forward to it. However getting the launch right is somewhat of a challenge at the moment. So far we have managed driving miss daisy or clouds of tyre smoke!

I'd have tohoght that it would be easier with more progressive lower boost build up.

Interestingly, looking at our logs, once moving I'm only on 30% throttle for most of first gear. I'll have to check, but I don't think I ever use 100% in first gear. This is with similar power, but I have lower FD and more grip.
