Picked up a MG metro cam today, will i be ok using the existing followers? They look pretty new |

Unfortunately not - because the float chamber has to be pressurised the fuel pump has to be able to supply 4psi more than the boost pressure you are running.

They make setting the cam timing easier. If not get a set of offset keys. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Yes. Choke cable goes to the carb to richen it up a bit for cold starting. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
