Oil return could be tricky.
The over clutch set ups I've seen are closer to the engine and uses the transfer case breather as the return.

My build thread..

put it in tech chat to. but thought of 3 things. 1 route it to the fuel pump hole

2 route it to a new hole drilled in the gearbox casing

3 route it to where the distributor used to sit.

have no real idea if its all that bad if little oil stays in the tube once engine shut down.

raised it another 3 cm today and turned it a bit. like so i could get it much closer to the engine. a 45 degree drop would work now to get the oil into the transfercase breather. happy i done it as youll advised. up to the pipework and down pipe now.

i seen allot of people who replace a turbine wheel and bearing ( and shaft) without rebalancing there turbo's. would this be a true thing or will the turbo self destruct in less then 10 sec?

so due to covid i got no job but on the bright side i now got time to continue with this.

Placed engine in as how it would sit, exhaust fits with a nice 10 mm play at the narrowest point.
als began to make the subframe braces. plan is to bolt them on at the top with 2 m10 bolts and weld an angled iron at the under side so i can bolt it to the side of the subframe with 2 or 3 m8 bolts. they are made out the same tube rolcages get made of ( 38 mm seemless tube with a 3 mm wall)

slow progress beter than no progress..............

i will have to find something for the top stabilizer since the exhaust sits in front of that. and probably a lot more stuff but that's the fun of it all right?

return for the oil i would do with a T in the clutch house breather. or would i just do the return there and leave the breather?

grts

Might as well make use of the time if you can! A small silver lining, hope you can make progress. Assume you have the wood burner on to keep warm!

Yeah wellllll the wood burner is on but the mini is in the other room. Jumping back and forward to keep warm and sip my thee. Heated on that stove. 😉Make the best out of what you can't change right.
