Its a Sparco Sprint. Its nice and thin, cheap and fairly light. I got a pair from demon tweeks. They usually have an 'Ebay4' (or maybe its 5 now) discount code going.

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/s...teel-frame-seat

They are a little ugly lol.

I did look at bits like that but i have no room run them behind. They will be moved around a bit and tied down which should tidy them up. I haven't bleed the brakes yet as i cocked up the hydro handbrake plumbing so didn't want to tie them down if just in case I get some leaks.

Out of interest, why the hydro handbrake? And what bore size?

Agreed! I'm hoping my arches fit half as good as that, although I've only got fibreglass ones (poor man syndrome haha) that I'm going to modify to add fixings.

Thanks chaps. Although i do need to re-do the front drivers, did the passenger one a bit different and it looks a lot better where it wraps around.

Passenger ones. May have to raise the ride height a little on spirited driving there is a fair amount of clearance though.

Rear parcel shelf in, need to seal it.

Changed the inside lines to flexi ones, easier on the eyes. Ive changed both rear cylinders for ones with bigger bleed nipples (stripped the thread on one of the old ones!). Also got the hydro working correctly now.

Been doing the body this week. I am doing this on the cheap side of things with help from a painter...

Rubbed down the etch primer ready for high build.

High build on and guide coated.

flatted back ready for top coat.

Doors bonnet and boot have had the same treatment and a 2/3 coats of 2k. Also flatted and polished them. Not got a finished picture.

The body, flatted back on the roof, will do the rest tomorrow and give it a good polish.

Its a perfectly presentable finish but not show winning by any stretch.

My plan being that some of my repairs might crack and move so if (read when) that happens i'll probably paint it again.

I understand with the minus you have to lower a few things in the bay to clear bonnet one being the radiator.. do you just modify the rad mount? If so does that then mean the fan and shroud wont line up anymore?

I believe you can cut/re drill the lower mount and then drill the shroud holes up a bit.

I've just got a very think rad and an electric fan under the wing. Time will tell how well it works compared to the mechanical fan.

Bought it home today after a flatting and polishing.

Got both the doors built up.

Started fitting everything to it. Wired up the rear lights, but cocked it up somewhere! Think my CBS module could be wired up incorrectly/drawings wrong. Indicators all work correctly and the hazards but the fuse is blown and i've got no side lights!

They're actually innocenti rear lamps. I've just used the covers and put a couple of bulb holders in the shell. Was a good weight saving.

I'm not sure on total weight as I haven't put it all together. The cage isn't light that's for sure! Around 550kg I would imagine.

Yea it's a concept racing tank, I bought it from someone on here.

I would say that the fact you will never have to worry about rust far outweighs any weight saving advantages!
