Got a little further, intake is cut and welded to avoid bulkhead clearance issues (ally mig is a big learning curve lol)

Cut and bent the exhaust manifold to where i want it, now waiting for some stainless pipe to join to the bottom part of the manifold.

Got my halfshaft sorted out by taking a few different ones apart and then making one apropriate one.

Engine is all bolt roughly where i want it. So next job is driveshafts on, suspencion back on and then back on the ground.

Anyway this is how we stand at the moment:

Slowly but surely.

Yes, inthink thats the best way, het it running then make my own car loom from scratch, or maybe with the help of an ezwire kit. Might run certain things through switches rather that straight from the ignition as i have obtained some very nice rally style cutoff switches.

Yes thats what im thinking, but i dont want to be halfords tatty shit evrywhere, itl be the essentials, and itl be neat, thinking a battery cutoff aswell.

This is what i have at moment , just got to decided between a heater and heated screen as im liking the bare/ lightweight look.

Shame on you for even considering warmth/comfort at the expense of speed. Throw that heater in the bin!

Started on the exhaust and gear linkages today, had a bit of trouble gettin on the ramp at first, so had to get the forklift over to help it on. Not a great start.

Then started on the work in hand, got the gearlinkages done, went easier than expected which is nice for once, then started mocking up the exhaust system and manifold. I think pictures are bettyer than words:

So all the exhaust is done bar a few gaskets to go on when i get them, linkage is good but needs an extension in the cab as its a tad low in a mini.

Next thing was to jack the hi-los on the front up a few turns and wheel it back into the workshop.

Might still have to notch the front bar very slightly but its not a big deal, its as tight as i could get it.

Fuel plumbing and electrics and i can try to fire her up.

Glad to be out of the rain now tho.

Well not great progress this weekend. Wanted to get on with the wiring, just didnt get time on saturday, and sunday was a hangover day so needed an easy job so i fitted the front end.

Not too worried about looks so decided rivets are ok for me. And decided on bolts rather than dzus clips, purely to security, can imagine round here someone will have my front ent if it just on clips.

Dont know what the legalitys on grills are because im thinking i may not get one to fit :/

And found another advantage of cutting the manifold rather than the bulkhead, no clearance issuses compared to other honda builds for the induction plumbing.

Wiring next :(

Yes its getting there, its not pretty but its should go.

Been researching wiring tonight, looking at diagrams, threads, etc, i can officially say im stumped. It will be nice to have a clean job tho even if it is mind boggling.

After seeing what routes to go down with the rad, i thought of using twin bike rads but the swung towards a honda specific one, just because i know it will cool it enough. So reluctantly got the grinder out and got to work on notchin the subby, first attempt went well untill intried to fit the rad but this was the first attempt:

Second attempt, which did work out:

Weldings getting better, but still some way to go.

So rad fits:

Just...

Going to get the outlet re-welded here, i know its ugly but considering how tight it is, and the fact the manifolds hanging out anyway indont think itl be too bad with some nice silicone links and stainless pipe, hotrod style lol.

Started stripping down the wiring, im sure ive probably took too
Much out lol. :/ confusing

I want to hear it go now, then the rest is easy.
