I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

If driven normally ie off boost the majority of the time I can't see it being any less reliable than an na 1275. In mine just keeping up with the flow of traffic, changing gear at 3k rpm, it would plod around all day, but I had 18psi at the ready so didn't do much tootling around.

The metro turbo engine in standard form is good for 100k miles.

That's music to my ears a mate of mine seems to think I'm going to have nothing but problems, I'm just after a solid engine that I can drive every day and on track days I can up the boost and have fun*smiley*

Now I know this may get asked a lot and I also am aware there is a search button however.

I have left the wireing in, standard 1275 can I use this once all the turbo stuff is fitted? I have done some research and have found out I don't need the ecu.
Thanks

Poly flex kit has arrived. Need to dig the rubber rings out the bin for the top arms has they don't come with the kit.

how come you've got all the front subframe mounts when you've got a removable front end? surely solid mounts would be safer?

one day boost will be mine!

Solid mounts are optional, I use poly ones.

Ahh I see are they the solid rubber mounts that bolt underneath the steering rack? The poly ones have metal inserts I hope they wouldn't make them if they were unsafe.

Need to raid the bin for the rubber rings that go on these.

im not saying they are unsafe, not on a standard front mini, but on a mini with a removable front end i wouldn't use them.

does any one else? as your the first person ive ever heard of to use anything other than solid, fair enough some people argue about weather to use brace bars or not, but using soft mounts?

I can't really see them making too much difference I have the brace bars and there's the two big bolts holding them in, I still have the solid ones but I can't see them barring much force (with the brace bars & other fixings) im not confident using them if anyone else uses them let me know ? Taa
