Look on car builder solutions. It's heavy duty flexible stuff. Saves pissing around at halfords looking at what might fit

I forget who it was that said to try and have a unblocked flow out the turbo so it can heat siphon when you turn the engine off. So a heater matrix might restrict flow? Also means you can't shut the heater Off during the summer.

My plan is, out the head at 4, split into two, one goes through a heater valve and then heater. The other through the turbo and into under the thermostat in a spacer plate like you have on yours?

I've been struggling for ages, normally staring at the car blankly, trying to figure it out. Feel free to pass comment!

My heater plumbing is connected all year round , i just don't have the heater switched on. I'm figuring the water can either go back in the system before the heater or after the heater. Not sure if it matters either way.

Well long time no post, pulled my finger out, got this going. Engine in running sweetly. A few reservations about possible noise from the clutch area, starter motor not sounding 100% smooth. Road trip today with my boy to see if it is reliable enough to go camping at the weekend

Was running great. Done 200 miles, enjoying the turbo feel, running up to 4k and 4psi, good mixture and igniture, pulled over to adjust the carb a bit......

I went to restart the bitch and releaseed the key and the starter, the engine had not caught but the brise starter motor continued to spin all by itself. Although i am fairly certain the car was not in gear, the starter motor propelled my car forwards, and the only way to stop the car and starter was to yank on the handbrake and footbrake. Burning smell followed from the starter which still was trying its best to push the car forwards, so i legged it to the boot to dis the battery. The boot was of cource locked ha, opened the boot, by this time the negative lead had unsoldered itself from the anchor point on the boot floor due to the heat. And all was calm. Wtf happened here then? Will be stripping it down this week

Had that once ( starter motor spinning) but not the propelling. Mine came ( so the car electrician said) from the relay stuck shut. No iedea how long i have been driving like so ( was a 20 km trip from work) teeth on flywheel and starter motor wore pretty damaged though

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

Had a good think about what happened here. During all the excitement when the starter wouldnt stop i stuck it in first gear and tried to "stall it" like if your car was running on. The starter was having none of it and got very hot.

So hopefully nothing more sinister than a rubbish Brise pile of junk starter which to be fair has not been disengaging correctly since i fitted it a few weeks ago.

I need a compact pre engaged starter, any recommendations please

A few months later. No more starter motor problems.
Run in, Millers CTV, drop gear noise at idle seems better

Have been trying to perfect the carb needle profile, it is now good /safe enough for 10 psi.
Now got plenty of bananas maybe 140? Feels fast and been testing it out on the local bypass. Fourth gear at 70mph, floor the throttle and thinking oh no the clutch is slipping. It was not the clutch, it was wheelspin. Is this normal at only 10 psi?
Seriously impressed with the quaife diff, no torque steer and even when it is wheel spinning you would hardly know.

It drives better with the new Rosepetal wheels.
Also I have found there is no need to lift the back of the bonnet or fit vents in it etc as the hot air is all sucked out beneath the car when moving. Hot starting is a minor issue but not a problem

Mine seems to spin in every gear at 10, probably a bit lighter than yours to. On a 3.1 final drive.
