I thought that you had planned to take the mini, Rod ?. I had, but it isn't quite finished, so I thought I'd show up anyway, family in tow, but after all my promises to them of what an experience it would be.... they got a 1 1/2 hour ride in the cab of a recovery vehicle :) The best bit of the journey was wifey (in the second row of the cab) trying to whisper to me "don't take him that way, he'll never get around the bends". We live on small country lanes - and when we arrived with no problem, she got out and said "I'm sure it was a lot longer than that when we set off" (she had only looked at it with the Focus being loaded, as per the photo, not after the bed had been retracted.......) :) Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

Highlight of the weekend was Brett beating a Supra :) That did get quite a cheer from the crowd in the grandstand. Good day overall. We got the car there, it made noises (not all the right ones), drove it up and down the service roads a few times and didn't get sunburnt like normal :) Just need to sort fuel pump/filter arrangement and extend the clutch arm to get a bit more control. |

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Wasn't a bad day today, spent most of it half asleep. Good to meet a few people, and phil of course, who had a heroic 100odd mile trek with a knackered gearbox, now that's dedication! On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

I last saw him sitting on Tesco car park waiting for recovery to arrive, he said he'd had the gearbox 10 years, pretty good all things considered! On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Had fun, too much beer and broke the van. All in all a successful weekend. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I had a good weekend, chatted to loads of people and consumed much beer. I could not break the 14 second barrier though. my best was a 15.07 with my n/a 1380. The 16v turbo project will gain momentum me thinks!

Cracking weekend, i did my personal best of 14.3 running 10psi of boost. I only did 3 runs all day due to my fan belt popping off! Bloody thing! Apart from the car did fine with no dramas to report.
1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.
