Okay got quite a bit done over the past week :)

First of all me and my Uncle, used Sprockets method of removing the outer raceway, warmed it up and hammered the casing - came straight out! Lovley, we tried the next bearing down and unfortunatly when we hammered it, the casing split across which let liquid through so we had to go get it welded up:

Lovley jubbley, so that night I was going to paint the transfer casing and the clutch/wok cover, so I busted otu the wirebrush on a drill and started taking all the old paint off when i really liked how they came out so I left them bare *happy*

Been shopping over tha past few days as well:

Running in oil:

Flanges and pipes for my exhaust manifold:

AFR Gauge:

My Uncle gave me a little help this morning getting the transmission side of things all put back on:

Now im just waiting on my dad to finally make me this manifold and downpipe so I can get this engine int he car and start running in :)

Big Day!

Got the old one out today *happy*

Subframe all unbolted and held up by bricks:

Mini was too heavy to lift as it was still filled with everything else so nabbed neighbours engine crane:

Slowly it seperate, was a right PITA:

Finally seperated:

Next we had to put the body into the corner I call the "Graveyard" this is because everytime I put a car in this corner it sits there broken untill I sell it :(

So it was time to put the mini into the graveyard :(

Picking the rearend up and shifting it round:

Putting into its new resting place:

My mini was running at 1rp (Rob Power) at this point:

Bernies final resting place for now:

Cheers for reading as usual *tongue*

Did a bit of tidying up in the bay while I wait for my manifold that my old mans making dum de dummmmmmmm:

got the old wire brush extension on the drill took all the bubbly paint down to the shiny metal and then stole my dads hammerite kurust and paintined it, turned up beige and then painted smooth silver over the top so hopefully it will last about 3 years before any bubbling and by then I can afford to have the whole shell acid dipped and setup for a b18c4

So here it goes:

Looks lovley *happy*

Oh my god im getting fed up of this taking its time now :/ just want to go boooooostinnn :/

Found a few piccies on my camera I forgot to uplaod before:

Got the wife to help me wirebrush the engine bay before I painted it:

When we stripped the subframe down for powder coating, noticed the passenger side top suspension arms was seized solid - this is probably why my car was pulling to the left so drasticly when you let go of the steering wheel, here my old knackered shocks and arms:

I absolutly suck at painting so got her to paint my new top suspension arms and my hubs as well:

Painted calipers red:

Old Engine:

New Engine as it is atm:

T2 Turbo *happy* :

Got subframe and lower suspension parts back from powder coaters *happy*

All new and shiny looking *happy*

So started assembly:

Installed my lovley polybushes:

and she is now sitting like this:

havent put the hubs on yet because I still need to move the subframe around on my own for now

Okay so today was another big day.

Been working on the mini this week. Doing a bit on the subframe, then I relised that I needed a cone compressor - as budgets getting tight I couldnt afford the 60 to buy the tool or the 35 it was to get a set of hilo off the bay.

I did take some pictures but relised halfway through today that I am a bit simple and such the memory card wasnt plugged into camera proper.

So far this week I have the following finished:

Fitted Ball Joints correctly
Stripped subframe again
Undersealed subframe
Re-built the bottom arms in the subframe
Exhaust Manifold
Downpipe
Sensor Bracket
Rubber Cone Compressor Tool
Clutch and Brake Cylinders/Servos (Whatever there called)

Engines Almost ready to go in,

Heres the pictures! Enjoy!

Made my own Rubber Cone tool:

WTF is this bit is it standard?

Cheers for looking :)
