Well as it was my first attempt, I aired on the side of caution, as such I used the following layers, making it heavier than necessary.

Carbon-glass cloth-glass chopstrand x2-glass cloth-carbon

tyres are 7 20x13 at the front and 7.2 20x13 at the rear

A double thumbs up... And completed very quickly this build. Nice job

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

If you've got any cf let over you could make a pair of light weight tappet covers.

The tyres are an old set of Michelin S210 racing slicks that Ben hand ut for wets. They are too hard for hillclimbing, hence why they get used on the rr.

they are 16/53 - 13 (not sure what that is in real sizes, might be 16cm wide and 53cm high?)

As for cost, around £3k. Could be done cheaper with more scrounging (the IC cost £250) and by using MS.

Cheers for all the comments, now we're full time on on Bens using all the left overs. Aiming to have them both at Avon.

did you use anything around the foam to avoid direct contact between the epoxy and the foam? tape for instance?

in the curved areas, did you typically cut the fibre into smaller pieces to avoid air voids when wrapping the fibre around the curves?

Wow some how missed the finished product, looks spot on, so much tidier as it goes from the I/C to the plenum.

The epoxy is straight onto the foam.

The CF is in two pieces (top and bottom), took me a while to make a pattern. It could be a lot neater, and in some places there are voids. But inbetween the CF there are 3 layers of glass cloth and chop strand, so there is no weakness or leaking. But it's not light!

It's cool that you've kept it looking as it was from back then. Although with improvments all round!

As seems tradition, if you spunk your money on some new wheels you need to show them off. Don't ask me why there's only three.
