Minimole its no reflection on he qulity or design of the piston is simply a case that our motors are worth a few grand a pop and its not worth the risk to hope a clip does not pop out when PTFE buttons cost penys to make and will never give a problem.

Could the buttons be glued in somehow? Any idea what adhesive might withstand this sort of punishtment

On all the buttons I've made I have made the shaft part at least 10mm long. Not had a failure yet.

the accralites dont have circlips as they are intended for the interferance rods, my rods are bushed so I need to bush the pins

Looking good paul, have you managed to get any pics of this fandabbydosey head yet?? With running such large valves are they offset to fit in?? Is it a steel head or one of the ally ones with giant valves??

Well big update the car is now completly in paint the front end has arived and I got most of the cage in this evening :)

Dash desplay will be a rev guage a water temp guage, oil presure guage and a shift light. :)
