Not really much to report on the bodywork etc as Daps, the guy who's doing the work, is going in for an operation on his ear on Monday but he and OH have got a week off in November to crack on with de-seaming him, welding in the new sills and possibly fitting up the front end. I've mainly just been buying more stuff and trying to find homes for it. We've re-arranged the spare room to try and fit everything in but it's spilled over into the other spare room and our bedroom

This is one of our spare rooms, I don't have garage space left and I don't like getting my shiny stuff dirty.



There wasn't enough room in the other room for my flip front so it lives in the other spare room on the bed

I had my trigger wheel sent to my OH's mum's work because i was worried about missing it. She brought it back and was like 'what is this?'

would i be right in thinking the dump valve has to be fitted on the inlet side of the charger?
and what benefits does it give? sorry to be a pain asking, thinking of similar for mine.

Not masses of progress in the past few months apart from waiting on my engine and stockpiling parts although bodywork has moved along abit. The car killers have been cut off as has the rear valance as it was looking ropey. However, after the over sills came off Daps noticed 4 spot welds over the inner sill. Cut them out and there was a hole bigger than Jordan's gash!!



The previous owner had been a nobber and just spot welded a plate over the rust hole and then banged some car killers over the top, bloody pikey.

Got some inner sills, door steps, rear valance and closing panels at Bingley today so that should keep the rust at bay for a few more years hopefully, or until I find some other bodge up.

Engine should be home next weekend fingers crossed and then we can start mocking the engine bay up. I still need a new minor engine bits before it can be finished off. Turbo carb and Montego plenum, charger brackets, pulley and shizz.

Good to know i'm not the only one that has to clear up behind the previous owner. I've got some over sills to remove soon. :(

Everything seems to be going wrong for me and that car at the moment! I bought a FG clubby front from Arc Angels and it's all deformed, it's too long in the wings which isn't such a bad thing but there is a 7-10mm gap where the bonnet overlaps the front and sides I spoke to Tristan and he was lovely, he's having another one made for me and sent up but it'll take about 6 weeks and that's really going to put me back

Arc angels do have very good customer service, good to hear there sorting it out for you.
