You'll need to load the photo on to a site like photobucket then copy in the image code from there web site. love to see how you mounted the engine and gearbox.

First proper update in a while. Order a pile of bits for repairing the floor,

The got about fitting, with the body off the chassie it's sooo much easier to work on,

Thn moved I back in to the garage and on to the chassie, nothing bolted down as yet

Found a few little problems that will come up

So the linkage will need shorter ing but I am
Thinking of swaping to a type 9 if I can ever got this bellhousing from a friend.
Other problem

This has left the body about an inch or so off the chassie so the arch needs cutting.... A lot of cutting

Top White line is were I'm going to cut to.. More than I wanted to take out.
Off to Newark autojumble next Sunday to see what arches I can find before chopping but I am
Wondering if this type of arch would suit it would mean making them from scratch though might be way behond my metal work.

Nice project, I have a herald with a 400ci small block chevy motor, auto box and ford 9 inch rear, dyno'd at 510 bhp, runs 10.2 seconds. Currently fitting a 6/71 supercharger. Taxed and tested.

Dont expect the Type 9 to last very long if you give it more than about 120hp to handle, unless you use the Capri/Granada one, which is a touch more difficult to adapt.

Got a few friends running type 9 with far more power than I'll be running with no problem. So I think it'll be fine. Mt75 just isn't as easy to get a prop for however shorting the likage is way easier

Hi Alex, no but I think I know which car you've seen. Was it kind of slate blue and a little tatty?
Mines off road at the moment due to it going on it's roof but was powder blue and white, we used to run at Shakespear county regularly

Then I must be unlucky because my type 9 was expensively rebuilt less than 4000 miles ago and is grumbling big time.

I know someone who put a Vauxhall XE on to one and it lasted even less time.

If I replace it it will be either Granada Type 9 or Tran x.

I just wondered how the price of transportation of an engine was relevant in this post ?

Forget it, the grumbling side of me is now under control ...
