Got the car running today and i was surprised by the amount of grunt there is with a barely modified 998.

Did a couple local hillclimbs and gained some valuable experience. I found that this car would never be competitive in the modified class so i will be selling off my large bore gear and spending the winter getting it into the production class and building the engine properly ready for next year.

They are from ebay, good quality and the width is spot on i just welded them together. |

1 1/2" I think. Matches my ports pretty well when they are pinched square. |

looks good, but you may struggle to do up the exhaust flange bolt nearest the block... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Good point Andy i am going to have a joint on the down pipe so hopefully i wont need to mess with the elbow once its in position, i might even just weld it solid?

I have a joint on my downpipe just after the pot joint, I just put the engine in with the turbo and downpipe in place, doddle. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

Got a bit more done bulkhead box deleted, gonna go for a sleeve joint somewhere near the pot joint for the downpipe.

Cam timing figures are usually quoted on the inlet valve, second pushrod in..... Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |
