Ive had a rather productive weekend, sarahs been manic planning lessons so i thought id blitz the mini.
i thought ah loads of time ill get everything done i want, did i feck time just flys by when your having loads of little jobs to do.#

right so the ive got the sill on properly, seam welded and sealed.

I also picked up a bargin TDK front end up on the way back front the Riv Run. going to be a while before i fit it but it was worth getting

theres a big hole where the drivers floor pan should now, hopefully have it in and welded by the end of the weekend, then roll it and start ont he underside.

I would reconsider using seam sealer on there.

From my investigations the only thing it seems to be good for is trapping water and leading to rust

Quick Update

Ive replaced the drivers floor pan and now the right side is complete.
Now time for the left side, between me and a mate we lifted the car out and turned it around. hes now laid up with back ache, wuss.

diagnosis for the left side:
new inner and outer sill
new hinge panel
rpair hole in door step, quarter panel seam and quarter window lip.

not too daunting now ive done the other side.

Progress has been a bit slow, cant face having to cut and fit more panels at the moment, so i decided to crack on with the front subframe bracing.
There a bit over kill but i love them

i was just mocking up here getting an idea of lengths, but the plan is to have the bracket mounted further down on the bulkhead.

The finished article just got to get the bungs welded in and powder coated.
Big thanks to Mr Austin for his speedy turn around and great value for the bungs.

I was slightly concerned when mocking up at the swallow angle in which the bars sit relative to the subframe, but i guess there are a few guys on here with them at that angle and the miglias all seem to run them ok.

Cheers George,

just pulled off the over sill on the left side and yep full of rust flakes, but least there isnt a big hole. new inner and outer sills and it should be sorted.
The brace brace bars are all welded up and ready for powder coating.
