Despite being amazed by the quality of the work and the "no limit" approach of such conversions, I think it definitely is too much (probtably the wheels though)

What is more, what does the 1,8 VVC produces, 160 bananas approximately ?

Isn't that quite easily achievable with a turboed A-Series for comparingly much less effort ?
And ending with a more useable car ...

Of course if it is for drag racing, RWD and big wheels worth seconds ...

Rusty by nature

I reckon it will be great to drive!

My girlfriend has recently bought a vvc mgf. I thought it would be rubbish, but it's actually pretty good.

With the running gear in a mini, I think it would make for a great bit of fun. I would use it as driver!

In the 13's at last!.. Just

143, unless its one of the later ones which has 160

This in my eyes would be much better than a turbo a series as it will make the power all day long with reliability.
Try getting 143 out of a n/a a series and expecting it to last

In theory it will also be much easier to drive being in the back as you have got all of those 'torque steer' issues.
There was one similar to this at mitp which had the 118bhp version of the engine in and that was running 12.8's or similar thanks to being able to launch

At the end of the day why not? Its something a bit more interesting than just another turbo mini

I've always fancied building something that was classic on the outside, but with a modern engine and running gear.

An MG B with a 6 cylinder jap engine keeps crossing my mind...

its reliable cheap power from rover wich i like, its lightyears away from a cast iron block and is allot lighter.

its a 160, im going to run 14x8 alleycats eventually but they dont clear the calapers so i have do some work to them.

the tf subframe can take other engines, the rover v6 will fit on the pg1 box in that subframe. i have also heard of a honda 6 cil lump in a mgf.

i just love the rover parts bin!

Thats a suitably agressive stance, looks good.

Any thoughts on colour?

And more to the point, will this be turbo'd in future?
