Still not taken the car to the bodyshop. Today I welded in one of the rear turrets so I can have dampers in the back. Will do the other side next weekend

What do you need to do to the rear arms to fit shocks? Also where did you get the turrets from and muchas costos?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

There was a batch made up a year or two ago, copy of roversport ones. There is a bracket to bolt to the hub bolts on the radius arms. They cost £100

I am going to use AVO shocks or trackspax. I can't get anymore, try post up a wanted ad

was custom made at an exhaust place, not part of any clubs just on a few forums.

Not touched the car is a very long time. I will be spraying the car myself now instead of taking it to a bodyshop.

Made a spit for the car out of some scrap metal from work all it has cost me is a bit for welding wire!! should make it nicer to paint underneath and get the welds tidy.

Mounted the GT20 to the manifold today. Will need to make a bulk head box for the metro because the turbo sits up higher and re-locate the brake lines.

Cheers Paul, wont look much different after this rebuild really.

After speaking to Andy and John about their turbo clearance issues I thought I had better see how much of the bulk head I need to modify, Luckily there is plenty of clearance. Will modify the subframe to give the cool side more room

Great car. I had a normally asphirated one of these which I drove for a few weeks before robbing its engine. My outstanding memory was the terrific ride quality from the hydrogas suspension. I could hardly feel speed humps.

We had more trouble getting it passed the bulkhead. Right PITA to take the turbo off with the engine fitted...

Been mocking the exhaust up. Had to adjust quite a few things to get it to fit



Will have to take it to get welded up somewhere because I don't have access to a TIG, it might blow abit with just masking tape and a few tacks!

No he isnt, its just a seperate pipe from the wastegate either to be used a screamer pipe or plubed back into the downpipe, external wastegates come before the turbo not after *smiley*
