I think I may have to start a new car thread once this garage build is finished. Here it is as of last night. Just a few more bits to do now.

Jealous! I really want more space for a proper workshop!

how are you kitting it out? Ramp etc?

The bog is genius. As for kitting it out it will be moving everything from the current garage into it. No lift for the moment.

It will be nice to get in and start work on the car again, not long now.

I think it deserves a comedy sign on the door such as "TRAP ONE" or something similar :)

If you dont mind me being nosey Ben, how much has it cost you to build this so far in materials?

Chuffing more than I wanted it to. If you ignore the cost of the foundations that I had to do and just put in normal foundations it would be between £15 and £17k

We've done the same with a trailer shed, If anyone asks it's a tempory agricultural structure.

I think we got away with it though, on of the planning committe for some reason came round to ask us something, and despite leaning on it didn't seem to notice!

Ours is 15ft long, bloody high and 12 foot wide. But then again do you have really anal neighbours that will see it getting constructed, or complain?

The Brown Streak has moved house. Still lot to do in the garage, making a work bench, putting up shelving. Getting closer to the build again though.

What i would give to have that much room to work in!

Looks really good mate!

You can pick up scissor lifts, the sort of table ones, quite cheap at the moment.

Good for a low car but i imagine a pain if you need to work on anything underneath. Although doesnt look as though you can go too high with the beams there?

It's too clean! Pour some oil on the floor and get some greasey hand prints on the walls!
