Thanks

Disturbingly i seem more awake now than i was earlier, so i'll start to write about what i've done.

One of the main pieces i have been working on is the exhaust, its my own design twin exit system, designed to be as subtle as possible whilst still looking smart, it will also have a centre silencer box on it as well, so should be nice and quiet (had too many loud minis in the past)

Both subframes went off for powder coating so they both look absolutely mint, they are now both installed and fitted lovely.

I got slightly annoyed at myself as i had a pair of solid floor mounts ready to go on, but when it came to i could only find one, i basically turned the garage upside down looking for it, in the end though i had to make one, which turned out to be surprisingly easy to do. So thats put an end to me ever buying floor mounts from now on i'll just make them.

I've had to do quite a bit of work at the back on the suspension already, i had a set of 'lowered; Gaz shocks which will be going back on, but they didn't really seem that low, so i modified them so they could be mounted higher in the arch and made a big spacer for the boot area to get them secure.

I'll be playing with the ride height for ages i expect, i think i'll have to make an anti droop kit for the back so that the hi los dont fall apart on full droop. On full bump it clears everything nicely, so glad i tubbed the arches. I'll definately stick up some pics of what i come up with as there was as interesting thread on it a while ago but there were no real answers or solutions just lots of good ideas, so i'll put mine up in there as well as here.

Moving round to the front, haven't done too much here, but i've started mounting the shocks, i modified the front subframe so i would have clearance for the shocks, and thats useful so i'm making my own shock mount bracketsagain i've measured full droop/bump so i know that the shocks wont bottom out before the rest of the suspension has a chance to do its job.

Another few bits i did was to service the front hubs, rear hubs and Hi Los.

Thats about all i can remember for now.

I need to go round a friends and get some machining done asap as i desperately need to get the cones drilled out before i can put the hi los in.

Yet again months pass.

Well after being made redundant again and finding a new job i can start to crack on, i'm determined now to make some good progress.

Here's a pic of how far i'm up to.
